We heard the shouts

We heard the cries

We heard the shots 

All we just wanted was, end SARS

Our lives didn't matter

It never did

So you put us to slaughter 

You don't care about our lives, indeed

We are supposed to be the leaders of tomorrow 

We are supposed to be stars for tomorrow 

But you leave us to wallow in sorrow

To mourn our lights you swallowed

You've ended us. 

Now who do you stand to rule?

When they say Africa is a jungle 

I don't grumble

Because these lions eat us everyday

All we do is run like deers, 

We do nothing but struggle.

The nation is bleeding

Our leaders, please what are you doing?
